2. Hosting and server logs

This website is a static site hosted by [Hosting provider, legal entity and address] on servers in [server location]. The provider processes the IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system in server logs for security and operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after [n] days. Where the server is outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is based on [the provider's standard contractual clauses / adequacy decision].

3. Cookies

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking services. No third-party scripts are loaded. Web fonts are self-hosted, so no font request is sent to a third party.

4. Contact form and email

The enquiry form is processed by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards your entries to our enquiry mailbox. We process name, work email, company, country, topic, industry, message and any document you attach, in order to respond to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Data is kept for the duration of the enquiry and, where a project follows, for the duration of the business relationship and statutory retention periods. No newsletter, no sharing with third parties for marketing.

FormSubmit is operated by a provider outside the EU/EEA; form contents are transmitted to it for the sole purpose of forwarding to our mailbox and are not stored by us there beyond delivery. Enquiries are currently received in a mailbox operated by Google (Gmail). Google processes the content of those messages in order to deliver and store the mail, under its own terms. This section is updated when the enquiry mailbox moves to our own domain.

5. Discovery calls

Discovery calls are arranged by email after you send the enquiry form; no third-party booking tool is used and no calendar provider processes your data. Email and the enquiry form are our only contact channels.

6. External links

Links to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google Scholar, ORCID, DOI landing pages and the source documents cited on this site lead to third-party sites with their own privacy policies. Nothing is loaded from them until you follow the link.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Thuringian Data Protection Commissioner (TLfDI).

8. Visitors from India

For visitors in India, we process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 to the extent applicable. Contact details as above.
